Head Coach - John Bechtoldt
John grew up in Annandale, Virginia where he swam for NVSL pool Forest Hollow. John went to Annandale High School and swam all four years. After high school, he earned a Bachelor's degree in History at James Madison University. Since 2008, John has also been coaching with Arlington Aquatic Club (AAC) and involved in many different age groups. John joined the Tuckahoe Family in 2016.
Assistant Coach - Sheila Brosnan
Sheila grew up in Fairfax, Virginia where she spent 12 years swimming for NVSL pool Mosby Woods. She was a member of York swim team growing up and also swam varsity for four years in high school. Sheila is a graduate of Marymount University and currently teaches at Freedom Hill Elementary school in Vienna, Virginia. Sheila took a short hiatus from coaching to focus on family and graduate school but she is excited to now be back with the Tigers!

Chandler grew up spending her summers swimming at Tuckahoe starting at the age of five. Outside of the NVSL she swam for Arlington Aquatic Club and Yorktown High school. She graduated from Yorktown High School in 2017 and now attends The University of Miami where she is a member of the Women’s Swim and Dive team. Chandler’s favorite strokes include Breastroke and Butterfly and she currently specializes in Butterfly and the Individual Medley at The University of Miami. Chandler has always looked forward to NVSL summers growing up and can’t wait to be back at Tuckahoe this upcoming summer. Go Tuckahoe *CLAP*!
Bert English - Team Rep
A native of Arlington, Virginia, Bert grew up swimming for Tuckahoe and playing water polo at Hampden-Sydney College and beyond. He is the youngest member of the English clan, and along with his lovely wife, Alissa, the proud parent of two Tuckahoe Tigers (Jack and Ella). Bert spends his days as an attorney for the federal government.
Sarah Moore - Team rep
A native of DC, Sarah grew up swimming for Kenwood and National Cathedral and playing tennis at Washington College and now the Tuckahoe Ladies Team. Sarah's husband, Cary, is a DC native as well and grew up swimming at Palisades and Wilson. Their long-time Tigers are not so little anymore: Charlie and Peter are both in the 15-18 age group, coach, and swim for Woodberry Forest. This fall, Charlie heads to Washington & Lee University's swim program. Sarah spends her days as a counselor in private practice.
Christina Ewing - Communications
Christina Ewing has lived in Northern Virginia for thirty years and has been an active member of the Tuckahoe community for twelve years with her husband, Darren, and son, JT. She has appreciated seeing her son participate on the Tuckahoe Swim Team for the past ten years and always looks forward to finding fun ways to support the team each summer. Christina is also an active volunteer for Potomac Valley Swimming as well as USA Swimming. When she is not poolside, Christina keeps busy as a consultant who conducts market research and writes about various activities within the federal market space.
